Position Type: Multiple full-time positions
This position is responsible for the safe and expeditious flow of air traffic within their designated control airspace in accordance with ICAO and FAA 7110.65 regulatory guidance. Rules of separation must be applied to achieve the required separation as outlined in FAA manuals and orders. The successful applicant will coordinate with various controllers and personnel to relay information that pertains to the aircraft and in the interest of safety of flight, including emergency information. The successful applicant must be familiar with control tower operations and apply the required separation of aircraft. The successful applicant will be responsible for vehicles and personnel operating on the airfield. Along with controlling aircraft, the successful applicant must be able to process flight plans and develop and supervise approach and departure procedures. This position requires full working knowledge of RADAR/Manual approach control operations, control tower, and flight planning.
Graduate of an approved DoD or FAA ATC course.
Three (3) years of experience, one (1) year of experience must be from performing in a like type facility. Knowledge of ATC rules, regulations, and techniques. Shall hold one of the following radar certifications: Air Traffic Control Specialist (ATCS) certificate, FAA Credential, FAA or DoD training records. Shall hold an FAA Control Tower Operator (CTO) certificate or FAA Credential with Tower rating.
